Application requirements
(1) Copy of valid ordinary passport (valid after December 30, 2024), and passport size photo;
(2) Documents proving the highest academic qualifications. If the document is in a language other than Chinese or English, a notarized translation is required;
(3) Academic transcripts (from undergraduate level onwards). Scanned copies of transcripts should include undergraduate, master’s (if any) study stages, and grades up to the most recent semester. Texts other than Chinese and English must also provide notarized translations;
(4) Research plan, written in Chinese or English (more than 1,000 words, including research title, research introduction, literature review, methodology, references, etc.);
(5) Academic resume, written in Chinese or English (must include personal information, educational experience, research interests, research experience, books and publications, awards and honors, etc.);
(6) Study plan, written in Chinese or English (must include learning goals and plans during school);
(7) 2 letters of recommendation from professors or associate professors, written in Chinese or English;
(8) Copy of Chinese/English language test score sheet or relevant study certificate;
(9) If you have been in China, you need to provide relevant records of your time in China, such as study certificates, work certificates, etc.;
(10) A copy of the “Physical Examination Form for Foreigners”;
(11) Certificate of no criminal record;
(12) Other materials, such as academic resume, award certificates, published papers, etc. (optional)
